Spread Betting versus ISAs

The main advantage of spread bets over ISAs [individual savings account] is that with the former you can trade stocks, indices, foreign exchange and commodities from a single account on a single platform. Compare this to an Isa where you typically can only buy shares.

Of course you can also choose to trade other instruments such as futures and options but these are also complex and at least as risky as spreadbets. And if you sell such instruments you are also exposed to potentially unlimited losses.
